This publication is the abstract of the Ashland County, Ohio Probate Court marriage records for Volume 4 & 5 which cover the years of 1870 to 1886. Neither Volume 4, or Volume 5 of the Probate Court original marriage records contained a female index only an incomplete male index. This publication contains the following information for each abstract: page number, date of marriage, full name of male and female as written in the original record.

Volume 4 appears first starts in February of 1870 and ends on the 17th of October 1878. Volume 5 begins on the 18th of October 1878 and ends on the 3rd of December 1886. Within each volume the there is an alphabetical index of the grooms, as well as an alphabetical index of the brides.
